• Technical review of incoming orders
• Create engineering validation for each order
• Create and document new designs to meet customer requirements. This includes: Create plant build instructions, bill of material, and shop routing
• Create production process sheets for each order
• Technical support for sales on new or existing orders including technical data sheets
• Produce nameplates for each order
• Investigate and resolve technical production problems with transformers
• Provide technical support to purchasing as needed
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost of products

Qualifications

• Experience in designing electrical transformers with a solid understanding of magnetic design principles
• Understanding of "design for manufacturing"principles
• Familiar with transformer testing
• Strong computer skills including OPS transformer design software, MS Office products including Visio, AutoCAD, Adobe
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical, with good problem solving skills
• Ability to travel occasionally to the US
• Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum 5 years experience with design of transformers or comparable electrical products
• Familiar with Certification requirements (UL, CSA, Nema, ISO CE etc Standard)
• Comfortable working within plant and office environments
