Description

Responsible for hardware design and development activities

Design PCBs: create architecture documents, schematic capture, PCB layout, board bring-up and debug

Work with Contract Manufacturers and PCB houses to create production ready designs

Analyze requirements, perform research and provide input to the overall system architecture and design

Provide support cross-functionally. Work with Mechanical, Firmware, Verification and other teams

Ensure compliance and work in accordance with the applicable procedures, standards and guidelines example ISO and FDA

Support technical aspects of audits and answer technical questions for regulatory bodies, etc

Aid in creation of Product and Development

Documentation in compliance with QMS, ISO, and other standards

Occasionally travel when required less than 15% time

Qualifications

Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent or relevant experience

A minimum of 3+ years experience designing hardware and/or electrical systems

Detailed knowledge of electronics. Specifically Microcontrollers (STM32 preferred), Battery Control, Bluetooth, USB, RFID

Experience in PCB design software - Altium Designer

Experience with measurement tools

Understanding of FDA's QSR CFR 820, IEC 60601 and/or IEC 62304 preferred

Experience working in a regulated industry with user/patient safety is preferred medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.

Knowledgeable in firmware development preferred

Highly organized with well-developed time-management skills and processes for managing multiple priorities
